Maen Llia Standing Stone Wales UKMaen Llia Standing Stone

Recently I had the pleasure of visiting the Maen Llia Standing Stone in Wales within the Brecon Beacons National Park.  Its size of around 4 metres out of the ground is awe inspiring.

To think of our ancestors thousands of years ago standing in that same spot.  Aside from marvelling at its size and ‘old energy’ vibration, I collected a small rock laying in the grass near its base. I thought it would make a good rock to hold while meditating.

Last night while meditating, I held the rock from Maen Llia Standing Stone in my hand for the first time. I had flashes of images very quickly flick through in my minds eye, like the seasons changing from cold to warm as well as groups of people at different times.  It was as though the rock held the impressions of the environment it had been within for who knows how long!

With my eyes closed I noticed the rock had a strong circling energy as I held it in my hand.  The rock felt alive.

After that experience I awoke the next morning from a truly magical dream experience.

I dreamed of seeing a winged bull flying in the air as clear as day, followed by a white winged horse and another smaller solid animal.  They were flying down the the side of the building from which I was watching and they landed with a male and female.  The horse lay down in the front and the other animals turned into statues.  I felt at ease in their presence – they almost seemed familiar to me.  They offered two people the choice to leave earth and live in another realm with them. The couple chose to join them and instantly leave their lives as they were.  I declined as I said I still had work to do here and loved ones to nurture. They understood.

The dream felt enchanted. It was almost as if the rock I had held while meditating the night before from the Maen Llia Standing Stone has opened up a new level of spiritual development for me.

Maen Llia Standing Stone is almost four metres high and guards the junction of two valleys, and a series of ancient trackways that joined several neolithic settlements in the Brecknock Shire in Powys County.
