What is Meditation?
Meditation is the practice of allowing the mind to come to rest. It does not involve linear thinking or competition with others. Rather, meditation is the process of allowing the day to day conscious mind to relinquish its agitation, aggression, fear and anxiety; and for the mind to slow down and come to rest.
Attempting to force or rush the objective of meditating will inhibit effective meditation and instead result in tension and mental conflict. The mind needs to slow down and come to rest of its own accord in order to be free of the impulsive analysis that dominates modern thinking patterns. Continue reading »
